june 19th is the 2nd anniversary of the city heights farmers market, so be there or else!
tonight at 7 is a benefit to help pay a ridiculous fine for a house show at the park gallery, so go to help keep local diy music alive

Hey Everyone!

Let's breathe life back into the Free Skool! We can discuss Martin's
painting plans, gardening the side plots of the house, revamping Hacklab and
English language classes and the infoshop, as well as any other additional
projects we are interested in pursuing... Also, there are some additions to
our family, and we should meet them! (Frankie and Cathy just moved into the
Free Skool house.)

The May 1st Coalition  would like to keep Y'all posted on a few upcoming 
events. 

This  Saturday- Fiesta Con Los Padres- come show your support for Adrian 
Gonzalez  and his stance against SB1070. Meeting at Latte Mi Corazon at 3:00- 
4:00 ish.  We will be walking together with other members of the community!

Join us for a series of informal afternoon gatherins in Balboa Park celebrating organic agriculture, the Zapatista resistance, and saving our Mother Earth. On the third Sunday of each month you are invited to share seed, pull weeds, water the corn, cook some food, meet new friends, and clean up the Zapatista Milpa (corn, beans, squash, chiles) planted on Earth Day 2010 at the WorldBeat Center in Balboa Park, San Diego, Planet Earth. Please bring any seeds (saved or commercial) that you can share with others. Also please bring some potluck food and drink to share with everyone. There will be one BBQ fire for veggies and another fire for meat at the drum circle right next to the Zapatista Milpa. Musical instruments, kids, storytellers, and rebels of all varieties are especially welcome. Resistance is Fertile. Join us!

Limpiezas de la milpa zapatista, los canjes de semillas, barbacoas, y festival de cosecha de maíz zapatista
Domingo, 20 de junio 2010 hasta el Domingo, 17 de octubre 2010
Parque Balboa, San Diego, World Beat Center, Planeta Tierra

Únase con nosotros para una tardes informales en el Parque Balboa para celebrar la agricultura orgánica, la resistencia zapatista, y la lucha para nuestra Madre Tierra. El tercer domingo de cada mes invitamos a sacar las malezas, pone el agua en el maíz, cocinar alimentos, conocer nuevos amigos, y limpiar la milpa zapatista (maíz, frijol, calabaza, chiles) plantados en Día de la Tierra de 2010 el Centro WorldBeat en el Parque Balboa. Favor de traer las semillas (guardado o comercial) que puede compartir con los demás. También traer algo de comida y bebida para compartir con todos. Habrá un fuego para barbacoa de verduras y otro fuego para el carne en el círculo de tambores al lado de la milpa zapatista. Instrumentos musicales, los niños, narradores, y los rebeldes de todas las variedades son especialmente bienvenidos. La resistencia es fértil. Únete con nosotros!
